Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has access to a number of vehicles, but one of his favorites is a Lada Kalina. Designed by Russian automotive manufacturer Lada, the vehicle is a supermini car that was originally introduced to the public in 2003. The Kalina included many automotive advancements and operated on a 1.4 liter inline-four gas engine. The Kalina was designed to compete with the Hyundai Accent and the Dacia Logan. In 2014 a station wagon version was created to expand the line of vehicles. The Kalina has continued to be a popular vehicle in Russia.
