Local Car Dealership Steps Up To Help Dogs Get Out Of Shelters And Into Their Fur-ever Homes

There are few things in life that have the ability to bestow joy, security, unconditional love, and the loyalty one gets from having the opportunity to love a dog. While millions of families across the nation get the pleasure of owning a family pet, there is still very much an epidemic nationwide with animal shelters suffering from overpopulation challenges.

It’s no secret to those that reside in and around the Phoenix area that the city has a growing dog problem. It isn’t uncommon to find a dog roaming the streets not only in the downtown area, but in many residential subdivisions as well. We all know what happens when a shelter is overcrowded, and no one wants to even think about the sad fact that so many dogs are being euthanized right as we speak today, which is why one Peoria car dealership stepped up to do their part in getting these lovable pups their “fur-ever” homes.

The Peoria Ford dealership has a reputation for being a company that isn’t just selling cars, but one that diligently tries to lend their community a hand whenever possible. Owner and General Manager, Pat Hickey advertised the dealership would be opening their doors to attempt to find dogs permanent living arrangements just this past Saturday. They partnered with a local shelter and had a very successful adoption event with adorable furry friends taking over the sales floor.

And if you’re in the market for a new or preowned vehicle, go see the team at Peoria Ford and get behind a dealership that uses your business to give back to the community!
