Volkswagen Set To Release #PinkBeetle In 2017

While there are some who would not favor a vehicle that was pink, for those who are lovers of the color, there is some good news on the horizon.

MSN reported that Volkswagen is set to release a special edition Beetle in 2017, simply called #PinkBeetle (yes, hashtag included); and will be much like the Beetle we have all known to love … just entirely pink.

The car is set at 179 horsepower, with 1.8-litre turbo-four, a torque of 184 lb.-ft., with a transmission that is six-speed automatic. Added bonus? The color pink is just no ordinary pink; with the automaker dubbing it a Fresh Fuchsia Metallic. To boot, the #PinkBeetle will not only don the color pink on the outside, but inside as well: with doors and seats, which will have a cribbed, plaid pattern within the interior.

Still, with HID headlights, black mirror caps, running boards, and tail lights that are LED, along with the standard 17-inch wheels that come on most coupes; it will certainly catch the eye of other motorists, and pedestrians, alike. Volkswagen has also stated that a convertible option will be available, with everything within this version being close to the same as the standard Beetle.

Finishing off the selling features, the #PinkBeetle will be equipped with VW’s latest technologies that accompany most vehicles nowadays, having Android Auto connectivity and Apple’s CarPlay; which will be a standard option for the car.

While they haven’t revealed a price as of yet, Volkswagen has announced that the car will hit the market in the fall of 2017.
